For box 5.3 the Cochamaba water wars described the pesants fight against the world bank and their influence on the local economy. People living on less than 100 USD a year saw an increase in the water rates per month to $20. The privatization of water was the bigger picture of this, it hurt rather than helped the people. the second box 5.4 talks about the toxic waste and the effects on the population in mexico. Even though the population has seen an increase in jobs there is still high polution in that areas.
