GMO's Southern hemisphere

According to the article GMO usage s frowned upon. GMO are equated with environmental and health degradation. Something that I pulled from the article that harps on this point is when Shiva equates GMO usage to raping the earth. GMO's also hinder the poor. They do this by not allowing poor people to save seeds. Humans have all but forgot about the natural process by creating these genetically modified organisms. The only negative aspect I can pin point of Shiva is her fault of blaming the trend of diseases on GMO's increased dietary trend. She ill advisely uses a scientific article to lay her claim of health problems equated with GMO usage.
